Halfway!! 107 days to go!
Yes! Yes! Yes! We made it to the halfway point and almost
to the 100 day countdown. (Of
course that’s if they don’t change the return date again) This has been a
growing and learning experience to say the least. I have had days where I moped
around missing Bryan, but the majority of the days I have enjoyed spending time
with Corbyn, my family, and my friends.
We count everyday....maybe that makes it longer, but then again it helps
watching the number go down. I
always had respect for the families that go through deployments, but going
through one myself made that level of respect go way up. Especially the families that do it over
and over and over again!! Yes, it’s a choice, but WOW what a sacrifice. I am incredibly happy with the fact
that we won’t be doing it again for a while.
Heading to Bahrain was a blessing in disguise for sure for this family: God dealt our hand just right
according to his will and way.
I plan to soak these next 3 and half months in. Not sure when the next time will come
that I get to spend so much time with my Texas family and friends. As for Bryan, I have never wanted
something so badly in my life…..a safe and quick return home to his family.
Corbyn Can't wait!!!!
Corbyn is also counting down the days!!
In the meantime he will also enjoy time with his family and friends. Grandpa and Grandma took him to the Botanical Gardens on Sunday.
