The Stars at Night

Living back in Texas is something I didn’t see happening until Bryan retired from the Navy.  Living back in Texas with my parents is something I never saw happening. Living back in Texas at my parents with my baby is something I never ever saw happening.  Well, it happened and it has been such an amazing blessing.  Not only have I been able to spend time with my parents and all my Texas loves, but Corbyn has been able to as well.  He has no idea that I have taken him to places I have been going to since I was a baby.  He has no idea, but I do and it is special to me!

So if I haven’t said it enough, thank you mom and dad! Thank you for taking us in and giving us this time in Texas!! It will be something I cherish forever. Thank you for giving me that extra hour of sleep bc Corbyn was up in the middle of the night breaking a tooth, thank you for dealing with a cranky mommy from time to time when sleep was needed, thank you for cleaning up his mess after dinner bc I decided to go the messy route and let him feed himself, thank you for watching him while I could go and reminisce with old friends over wine and dinner, dance the night away with my girls, go to a movie or just get a shower, thank you for helping me with the little things like bath time, thank you for letting us invade your house with toys and tons of other baby stuff, but most of all thank you for showing so much love to my baby boy! I mean, duh, it’s your job!...but really you both have been so incredibly loving to him.

And thank you Texas for being so wonderful to us! Thank you for the warm days, thank you for the beach, thank you for the wild flowers, thank you for nice nights, thank you for the great people, thank you for the good Mexican food, thank you for our adorable and wonderful baby friends, .....

Oh, and of course thank you to Corbyn! Thank you for being so flexible (not that you are given a choice), thank you for adapting well to new people because you are surrounded by them all the time, thank you for being my travel buddy, thank you for making me smile when I need it the most, thank you for enjoying running all over the place and seeing new things( I mean I can’t sit still, so it works!), thank you for taking to weaning so well, thank you in advance for leaving what you now know as home and traveling with your mom and dad!!! to several places until we are all settled, and most of all thank you for being you! You are the only you, and I can’t imagine you any other way. You aren't perfect, but nobody is perfect! Through my eyes baby boy (just like every other baby momma's and dada's eyes) you are as close as you can get.

While I am thanking people I guess I should thank Bryan! My amazing husband who I can't imagine doing life without! Thank you for the sacrifices you are making for not only us, but for our country, thank you for being so incredibly consistent about communicating with Corbyn and I, thank you for working your butt of every day to provide for your family, thank you for being you...ok enough already...just get home!

I am sure I am leaving out a lot of things to be thankful for, but these are what came to mind at the moment.
