Home as we know it....

After visitor season and lots of traveling we have enjoyed not having much of a plan on the weekends.  It is starting to heat up here but nothing unbearable yet.  Actually the weather has been quite nice here aside from the humidity, which Bryan and I grew up with.  We take bike rides, go to the pool/beach, play at the park and as the temps continue to rise we will work around it.  I am happy to be in an area here where we can just cruise around on the bike. Corbyn has made some good friends(and I am lucky they have great moms) and he gets very excited to see them.   Like most people he smiles and says hi(and with an S lately: hi's) but his running around in circles is what really makes me laugh.  He is our little sponge right now and that's what makes this stage so fun. I took over as hostess for a moms bible study and I am so excited to see where it goes.  I was definitely missing that in my life. Adjusting to living here has definitely been harder and taken a little more time than any other place we have lived....but I guess you can say we found our niche here in Bahrain.

In a couple weeks we have a trip planned to Abu Dhabi.  I am excited to see Abu Dhabi but way more excited that we will actually have a couple days where work can't reach Bryan!!! Yahooo!

And.....just as it slows down we will be ready for our visit to the land of the free and the home of the brave! Corbyn and I will be gone for 2 months and Bryan will be able to go with us for two weeks.  We are just patiently waiting on approval for Mid June time frame.  We are hoping that the jet lag isn’t too rough of the little dude so we can maximize our time with Bryan and all our family on Long Island. If all goes according to planned the timing will be perfect.  We will get to spend the 4th of July in USA!! I will be there for my beautiful cousin's wedding(where I get to see so many important people in my life), I will get to meet my dear friend Jessica’s newborn girl, and my good friend Haley will be in Texas with her beautiful daughter Claire. These 3 things I could have possibly missed if I didn't come during this time so you can imagine my excitement level.  Oh and did I mention I will be missing Ramadam in Bahrain? Major bummer...not.  Little snippet on Ramadam at the bottom.

Things I am looking forward to most about the trip to USA!
-above all seeing family and friends
-good air quality
-decent drivers
-TREES! TREES! and GRASS! and watching Corbyn run around in the backyard
-South Texas Mexican food
-New York Pizza
-radio stations
-driving my Altima as opposed to my hot rod 99 civic

 on another note.................
Life Saver Mommy Tip:
Amber necklace(for teething)! Yes, I know, I thought it was a hoax too! Once I had heard from 3 sources whom I trusted I finally purchased it.  Wish I would have sooner but it’s never too late.  Anything to ease the pain of a teething baby for all parties involved!!!!  So if teething was even a bit painful for your child(in which most cases it is at least a little bit) please take my advice and get one. They also look cute on boys and girls.  Corbyn is rocking the surfer dude look with his shaggy blonde hair and necklace.  Grandpa dude and his Uncle Jason should be proud.
Cars, cars, cars! He literally says that a 100 times a day. Corbyn loves his new hand-me-down ride from Alma (a family who left Bahrain for there next adventure) and he loves his new car swim trunks from his sweet friend Grace.

Corbyn's BFF is leaving us here soon but will be heading home to his beautiful wife Sarah. We wish him a safe journey home and look forward to his return next December.

Corbyn playing with home made gak and playing it safe with paint in a bag with his crafty buddies.

These kids have the life and they don't even know it.

Now this is what I call fun

....and just like that the hair grew back

These people never feed me around here.

And they don't give me water either!

Ramadan : (Arabicرمضان‎ RamaḍānIPA: [rɑmɑˈdˤɑːn];[variations] Persian: ‎ RamazānUrdu: ‎RamzānTurkishRamazan) is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar;[1] Muslimsworldwide observe this as a month of fasting.[2][3] This annual observance is regarded as one of the Five Pillars of Islam.[4] The month lasts 29–30 days based on the visual sightings of the crescent moon, according to numerous biographical accounts compiled inhadiths.[5][6] The word Ramadan comes from the Arabic root ramida or ar-ramad, which means scorching heat or dryness.[7] Fasting is fardh (obligatory) for adult Muslims, except those who are ill, travelling, pregnant, diabetic or going through menstrual bleeding.[8]

While fasting from dawn until sunset Muslims refrain from consuming food, drinking liquids, smoking and sexual relations; and in some interpretations from swearing.[9][10]According to Islam, the thawab (rewards) of fasting are many, but in this month they are believed to be multiplied.[11] Fasting for Muslims during Ramadan typically includes the increased offering of salat (prayers) and recitation of the Quran.[12][13])

Oh, and you have to dress more conservatively than we already do!Like long sleeves and pants.....in the heat??? WHAT? I am going to be in shorts and flip flops in the USA!!!! USA!!!!
