Oh Beautiful for spacious skies...

Here we are a month and a half into our visit to America (the beautiful)! Upon leaving to come here, I was MORE than ecstatic and I am starting to have the same feeling about going back.  WEIRD?....well not really considering it's become home and it just happens to be Bahrain (aka the sand box).  It's not the sandy sunsets or the 50 shades of beige I miss. It's the life we have made there and well of course I kinda miss my husband.  To think I laughed when my girlfriend told me that on her visit to the states she missed Bahrain. I guess that's how it always goes in the military lifestyle. However, don't doubt the fact that I have enjoyed myself immensely here in the states! When our time is up in Bahrain we will be more than ready to get settled back here, but for now Bahrain is home.

Our visit has been everything and more than I expected.  As we start to wrap it up I can't help but be grateful for time with family (every single one of them), friends and all the laughs we shared, beautiful landscape(even the cactus), breakfast tacos, stores like Target, Francescas, Hobby Lobby, Michaels, and HEB(particularly HEB plus), the endless supply and variety of wine, being able to understand people clearly all the time(it's pretty awesome), driving( although I have to remind myself to pay attention to the speed limit here), the not so muddy sand, waves, HGTV(which I didn't realize I missed), fresh scallops, not having to think about my clothing selection, the best babysitters (they are called grandparents), New York pizza, being part of wedding festivities for one of my dearest friends (Emily), meeting two very important young ones (Kenley and Wyatt), being part of my cousin's wedding, getting to know her husband and her step daughter who are now my family, celebrating Crazy Pa's birthday with him (the home made cupcakes by Julie I am not so grateful for...it was her first try), and all the time we had with Bryan (which might have been my favorite).

We are off to Houston this weekend and then Florida next Tuesday! One more road trip and one more flight before we ship out. Our first stop in Florida is Disney World! We never went as a family growing up but we are all going together now! Me, mom, dad, brother, Corbyn, and Alissa.  I'm hoping mom and dad will buy us mickey ears.. ;) Maybe if we are on our best behavior. You could probably say Bryan is a tad jealous. Then we will enjoy my brothers new home in West Palm Beach, FL for a few days and then it's back to Bahrain! Here's to hoping Corbyn does as well as he did on the way over here.  Saying prayers and crossing fingers.

And to think I am planning this guys 2nd Birthday already! As all parents say the time is flying.  He is just becoming more and more fun to watch grow.  Looking forward to all the things that come with 2...well maybe not all of them:)

We can't wait to see Bryan! We are ready to do this second half of the tour in Bahrain.  Bryan, I promise to put on my positive polly pants.  I am human and I will have my days but what is most important is you coming home to us at the end of the day! God has surely blessed us!

And just a few more of my favorite pictures: I seriously couldn't love pictures more! The pure fact that I get to take my favorite people with me wherever I go!
