Good Things Happening
Good thing #1 :
We are approaching our first year in Bahrain! I can't express how thankful we are for the support system we have here in Bahrain and back home. We have made some wonderful friends here who have made our time here great. They have kept me going when I was having a bad day, they understand my struggles and make me a stronger person. The support we have received from home has been unwavering. Prayers, visitors, concerns, care packages, notes to say hi, texts, face time dates, phone calls...every bit of it we feel completely grateful for.
Good thing # 2:
We have some adventures ahead of us on the second part of our tour here in Bahrain! One of which we just booked and are over the moon excited for. Not just because we going a beautiful part of the world I never imagined going before, but also because we get to see dear friends we haven't seen in over a year. Phuket, Thailand here we come....well we have to wait a couple months but something to look forward to.
Good thing #3:
We said bye to the pacifier at 2 years. I struggled his second year about when to take it away, but in the end did what I felt was right and let him hang on to it certain times a day. I was concerned the longer I waited the harder it would be. Well, just like anything else with this little guy it is all about the timing. I felt he was ready and there was no looking back. Easy peasey lemon squeezy. He does jabber in bed a lot more (I mean a lot) before settling, but whatever works.
Good thing #4:
My girlfriends and Corbyn have let me put my teacher skills to use and I am loving it. I didn't really start to miss teaching until recently. I did, but not this much. I am not sure if it's all the teacher talk I have been having with my girlfriends lately, the fact that Corbyn is a sponge, or the fact that I am finally feeling settled. Whatever the case I am having a good time with it. I guess the best part of teaching Corbyn at home is to see how excited he is about abc's, numbers, books, etc. I am sure it is an age thing, but I sure hope he continues with his love for learning his entire life.
We had our first story time last week. Our theme was the sea life/seashore. This week the theme was pets. They love all of it. The books, the crafts, the songs, and the snacks :)
We are also doing a letter of the week with another little friend. I am sure
I will run out of space on my wall soon.

Good thing #5:
The temps are starting to cool down. They are in the 90s as opposed to the 100s! I'll take it :) It's a windy mess out there but it helps with the heat. It doesn't feel like fall but it sure looks and smells like it my house.
Good thing #6: THE BEST GOOD THING!
Bryan and I celebrate our 4th Anniversary today. I couldn't have met a more perfect man for me. He has helped me grow in many ways and has continued to bless my life beyond measure! He is necessary to my delight and I can't imagine life without him.
You still have me walking on sunshine!
