Where will the Wolfe Pack head next? ….and other fun stuff.

Where will the Wolfe Pack head to next??? We are heading to Washington DC!! We are thrilled.  We only received verbal orders (over a month ago) but have been told we will receive the official orders by the end of this month.  We are eager to explore a new place, live near close friends, and of course live a drive away from family. Our cousin is attending the Naval Academy so we are pleased we will be so close to be Annapolis and be able to be a part of that.  We are eager to have seasons and all that comes along with it.  Not the shoveling of snow of course, but all the other stuff!  That's the beauty of the military life, it's always what you make of it! So we will be leaving Bahrain to head to our Nation’s Capital ready to wave that flag high! We “should” be heading back this October.

I have always been proud of Bryan and all his hard work but he has really worked his butt of here and I am beyond impressed with him.   This has been our most challenging tour.  We have grown together and for that I am grateful. I was so proud to be able to have the honor to pin Bryan as LCDR.  I am also  impressed with him passing Command Qualification Test recently. After helping him study a bit I quickly realized how challenging it would be.  I have to admit he had me doubting him a couple weeks ago but he pulled through!! Like he always does.

The summer is approaching fast and the temps are rising.  I am of course using my persuasive skills to try and get out of here for a week this summer, preferably during Ramadan.  Island living has its difficulties as far as getting away for a quick trip.  We truly miss a good last minute road trip.  This month has been full of celebrations and farewells.  For that we are grateful because we are blessed with so many fantastic friends. The Navy is a small world so I know our paths will cross again.

As far as little man, he still is the star of the show. He is still working his magic charming people.  I am convinced there is nobody on the planet that loves cars as much as he does.  Those of you who know Corbyn well wouldn’t disagree.  Actually, just spend a day with him and you will agree. He definitely has my sweet tooth and will help take chocolate off your hands any day.  He has many little friends he adores but his best friend is Logan.  These two met a few days after we arrived and they have pretty much been inseparable since.  He is doing great at school and I have already noticed a difference in his listening skills.  He absolutely loves when mom and dad are both home and we are hoping there will be a little more of that. This weekend was one of our favorites we have had together in a long time. Corbyn even accomplished swimming! What a fabulous treat!

The last 6 months we have had a few bumps in the road. I do know life will never be perfect and it can’t be.  Everybody has bumps, some small and some big. It is however, about how you handle those bumps and whether or not you come out on top.  I think we handled it well and I surely know we are coming out on top.  The key is faith! Faith in our heavenly father! He reigns and by his grace we are given this beautiful temporary life so we better enjoy while we are here.

Hugging it out

Logan's brother Travis is quickly becoming one of Corbyn's favorites too!
