Life Lately
It’s hard to believe I am in the process of planning yet
another birthday party. The big
number 3. I look back at when we
came here and so much has changed yet so much has remained the same. Corbyn came to Bahrain a baby and will
leave a little boy. We made so
many memories in such a short 3 years.
I will save all the mushy gushy stuff for his 3rd birthday entry. Just thinking how time flies by when it
comes to thinking of my baby.
We are working on checking off our long list of to-dos for
our journey home. I am a list
person and I would by lying if I didn’t say I get a little butterfly every time
we check something off. We will do an early pack out in order to get our stuff
once we get to DC. It takes a minimum of 72 days to make it stateside. Our landlord
has been nothing but fabulous to us and I am so happy he will be providing us
with a few basic needs in order to live comfortably in an almost empty
home.
And as our time gets closer to the end in Bahrain I cannot express how grateful I am for my family and friends who made the effort to keep in touch !! Whether it was a short message, Skype, FaceTime, text, Facebook or a call. It means more than words could ever express. Just to know big time distance doesn't change anything is powerful.
Ramadan wasn’t so bad but I will be happy when it’s
over. It was actually perfect
timing for me to commit to potty training. Since we were home a lot it worked out perfectly. I waited for a good time when I would
feel 100 % committed, when I felt Corbyn was ready, and when we had the time to
focus on it. It really paid off
because my frustrations have been close to none and Corbyn definitely was
ready. It’s a work in progress but
I certainly think he is the cutest little boy in briefs ever.
We head To Cyprus Island for a family vacation soon. We are excited to head somewhere for a
break. As you know we love to be on the move I am having a bit of island fever. It’s a super quick flight
and no time change. Once we are
back time will start to go by quick.
Corbyn and I plan to head home mid October with Bryan following late
November.
We continue to enjoy the friendships we have been blessed
with here. It’s definitely my
favorite part of Bahrain.
Can't wait to see y'all soon! It has been a short 3 years! Love you guys
