The Glorified Juggling Act

This chaos management job also known as MOM isn't for the weak! I've known this for years but here I am again in this beautifully busy and tiring newborn stage packed on with two other boys(and a Betsy bc if you know her she is pretty much a kid in a dog's body).  I'm over here trying to figure out our new guy meanwhile trying to hold everything else together.  All by choice of course!! I know on Facebook you see all the mushy gushy funny stuff.  Although we do have some pretty magical moments, they are usually followed by crazy ones. We all have struggles right? I'm no Mary Poppins, gosh not even close. Mornings are my arch nemesis! If I can get everyone out the door with proper clothes I call it a success. If I only yell once (where is your shoe?!! Why did you take your pants off??!! Do you have your back pack??!!) I call it a win! My boys are full of life and tons of energy! It can be very loud here, which at the end of a long (winter) day can seem like too much to bare in our very cozy house. Bring on the wine!! At the same time I love watching them chase each other around laughing and loving each other hard(sometimes too hard). Those are the moments that will always stand out. This year patience is at the top of my goals! Patience with my kiddos(husband included in that) but also patience with myself. I can only do so much in one day, sometimes the tv may need to go on a little more than normal, sometimes it's okay that my kid is being hypnotized by a child opening up toys in an egg on youtube, sometimes my kids will get lunchables for dinner, and sometimes my house might look like a tornado ran through it....whatever the case, it's enough!!! I hope you do the same. Cut yourself slack. At the end of the day they love you, and not what you do! Until Spring I'm dreaming of days spent outside watching the two older ones run around while Bodhi has a chance to discover our big beautiful world! Meanwhile we will be enjoying the warmth of our home and the wonderful acoustics this house has to offer my kids and their antics.
